Charity Marathon - Help For Hero's 


Director of Winning Pitch Executive Resourcing, Carl Smith recently completed the London Royal Parks Half Marathon in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.  Help for Heroes provides practical direct support to those servicemen and women wounded in the line of duty in the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan
 
Carl’s team was also made up of the employees of Bradbury & Son, a cheese manufacturer based in Buxton, Derbyshire and client of Winning Pitch.  There were 12,000 entrants to the marathon & the winning time was 1 hour 5 minutes, Carl himself finished in a terrific 1 hour 38 minutes & the team finished 44th out of 85 teams which was a fantastic result.
 
The team are still waiting for their grand total but hope to be close to £2,000 for Help for Heroes, which is fantastic news. Carl has set up an online Just Giving site for those who feel inspired to contribute to the above worthy cause.
