The City of Manchester Business Awards 2011

As one of the sponsors of Downtown Manchester in Business, John Leach CEO of Winning Pitch was delighted to present the BEST NEW BUSINESS award to Laura Wolfe of marketing services company Journey 9 at the City of Manchester Business Awards on 24th March 2011.
Over 400 people packed into Manchester Cathedral for the inaugural awards dinner. Sir Richard Leese also picked up an award, dedicated to the late Tony Wilson, for his contribution to Manchester’s regeneration.
Other big winners included Ray Evans, Kitbag, who was named Business Personality of the Year; Living Ventures Tim Bacon, who was named Entrepreneur of the Year, Journey 9 won a ‘double’, Best Marketing campaign for Jaguar; and Best New Business.
Downtown Manchester in Business (DMIB) is a business club that provides fresh and independent leadership to the private sector, by articulating the views of its members to the public sector agencies that govern the city; support and promote policies that benefit Manchester at regional and national levels; and create genuine cross sector networking environments that attract entrepreneurs, high growth companies and the regions big hitters from all areas of the business community.
