A business support programme to meet the needs of technology businesses on the Sci-Tech Daresbury campus was awarded to Winning Pitch.
The Sci-Tech Daresbury Campus, near Warrington in Cheshire, is home for a Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Business Incubation Centre. Here businesses co-locate in the right environment for start-up technology companies to develop new products and gain investment, leading to growth and the creation of new jobs.
Winning Pitch has designed an innovative programme of step change workshops to accelerate the growth of fledgling technology companies on Daresbury Campus.
“I attended Steve Young’s Customer Experiments Workshop at the Science Technology Funding Council (STFC) in Daresbury as part of training provide through the European Commission Copernicus Accelerator Programme.
I found Steve’s workshop to be very engaging as he provided illustrative examples of identifying the customer problem and validating a business solution prior to investing too much time and effort in technological developments.
I feel this workshop will save EnviroSAR time and money as our team took away practical tools and techniques that we can now apply to really understand our customer requirements. Furthermore, EnviroSAR had the opportunity to ask specific questions after the workshop through a one-to-one session with Steve focusing on a business case EnviroSAR is developing.
Overall the team at Winning Pitch are very approachable and they have provided that essential practical advice first needed when getting a technological start-up off the ground.”
