Winning Pitch is seeking to appoint a framework of associates to support our growing activities in the Worcestershire area.
We are calling for expressions of interests from experienced consultants with particular industry experience in start up support and addressing barriers to business growth.
Sustainable economic growth and business growth is a key priority for the County Council, the district councils and the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership. The Open for Business strategy focuses on ‘rebalancing’ Worcestershire’s local economy through a series of measures aimed at encouraging and supporting private sector investment, business and employment growth.
The County and district councils have made significant investment in its services to businesses to support growth including:
- £20 million to roll out superfast broadband and capture new commercial opportunities
- A range of business grants for those wishing to start or grow a business.
- £1 million in loan funds available to business across the County.
In partnership with the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership
(WLEP), Worcestershire Business Central (WBC) has been established which provides a single, intelligence desk and information point for all county businesses to access a range of services provided by Worcestershire stakeholders.
Central to the long term fortunes of the County are a large proportion of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) which account for over 90% of all Worcestershire businesses and between them generate a high proportion of the County’s Gross Value Added. New businesses will play a significant role in growing the Worcestershire economy, one of the fastest growing economies in the Country.
Winning Pitch is issuing an open call for single page CV’s from consultants that are experienced in supporting young enterprises and potential entrepreneurs with a broad range of challenges.
Consultants must be knowledgeable of Business-to-Business (B2B) trading, in line with European Regional Development Fund requirements.
We are seeking responses from associates that can provide business advice and support to individuals in Worcestershire in order to enable them to start new enterprises, as well as provide high growth support to a number of pre-start and early stage enterprises with high growth potential in the form of one-to-one and/or workshop support.
Priority will be given to associates that are well networked across Worcestershire and have a good understanding of the local business support infrastructure including wider business support services. There may be a requirement for associates to recruit eligible and suitable enterprises for the support available.
If you would like to express an interest in joining our Worcestershire delivery framework please email a copy of your CV to Eileen Harris (email@example.com). You will then be provided with Winning Pitch profile templates to be completed and returned.
