Success Factor - Authors View Point

Success Factor has not been derived from deep academic or structured research and study. It has been built upon 5 years of patient observation and discussion with decent and honest individuals from differing walks of life – the common thread amongst those I reviewed is they achieved something special with their life, career, profession or business. Their personal success was measured in different ways and spanned the spectrum of: selling a business, promotion, selected for a high achieving sports team, mastering a skill or having received an award for outstanding performance. Success almost invariably ran in parallel with a deep sense of having made a difference combined to fulfilment!
It is fair to say that my work is biased towards the business world and entrepreneurs who have managed to maintain a balance between wealth creation and achieving a higher sense of purpose and being. The mindset and principles of success observed in enterprise, I believe clearly mirror those in other areas of life – so the philosophy is transferable to any arena where winning is the desired outcome. The spirituality and mindset of these people is my biggest interest – seeing men and women pick themselves up when things went off plan, then going on to achieving great victories is a very humbling experience to observe. The ability to dig deep to keep the spirit burning balanced by a relentless pursuit to continually take action is extremely motivating to say the least.
By listening and observing the many successful and inspiring people I have met – 100 nuggets have been derived and prepared for ambitious people who want to achieve more. For those who keep being told they need a winning mindset, Success Factor provide the very tools that explain very practically what a winning mindset looks like but more importantly how to achieve one! Success Factor helps to:
- Define what success means for you!
- Develop a reflective perspective on life
- Become emotionally calm and make considered decisions
- Use the vast expanse of the mind and imagination to allow creativity to flourish
- Work with others in a collaborative and supportive way
- Balance financial gain with that of wellbeing and fulfilment
- Most importantly – take control and action for our own success
When these principles are embraced into your life we see an almost immediate impact on personal progression – potential is released and a momentum is gained, moving forward with meaning and a sense of purpose becomes a most magnificent feeling, one that is sustainable and devoid of quick fixes or pick me up’s. It becomes hard wired and very much a rule book for life!
One of the most significant observations from my work is the answer to the very simple question – What do you want to achieve? – Is not so easy! Simple is not the same as easy. However, fear, attachment to money, pride, insecurity and lack of self-belief can obscure the true answer.
The real journey of truth can only start when you clearly know the answer to this question. Having spoke to literally thousands of people and asked them this question an amazing 80% of people struggle dearly with answering the question – start looking now!
